Wish I could be helpful here....had the same problem, but I never tried test fitting a 1.5 control arm. I ended up using the Elantra control arms instead. With the Elantra control arms, everything bolts up like it should....plus the sway bar links are identical to the c53a 1.6 setup, so the same principal applies. You end up with a little negative camber in doing so.
How much negative camber?

Same here, used the Elantra control arms. It was nice to have bolt in ball joints, and my alignment guy said it was np to set up.

Just found that Napa lists different part numbers between the 92-93 and 94-95 Elantras.

Rock Auto lists that they use the same control arm.

quickgt said that he is going to look up part numbers for me tomorrow. Does anybody else have any idea about which ones are correct?

I speculate the earlier years are most correct, as the crossover point for electronics an such was 94.5 with the J1 Elantra.

Yes, 92-94.5 and don't use the 95, as Flying Eagle noted. Odd to hear they had different part numbers...just remember, the GL and GLS (sportier elantra) could be that difference, but I don't know personally.
