Hey i have a 4g61n/a engine in my car but i've slapped in an evo cooler, td04, 61t injecters, and 61t ecu.
Its very fast compared to the n/a and thus far seems to be handling the nine pound very well on the n/a internals  But its running very rich, its giving plenty of fuel when on boost but seems to be giving the same amount off boost to the point i have to ease the throttle on to prevent from flooding the engine with fuel and you can smell raw fuel in the car so bad you gotta keep windows open, even when its raining

Now from 4g61nz where i do most of my posting i know i need to hook up the 61t afm to sort this issue and i have one, put it has a 7 pin plug and my n/a loom only has a 6 pin plug so i have not yet been able to get the 61t afm.

I was wondering if anyone has rewired their n/a loom to suit a turbo conversion? i really dont want to have to get a turbo loom...Perhaps running a wire from the 7th pin to the ecu or soemthing...?

Cheers

wow an na with a 61t ecu

did you change your maf?

and you have to wire in that pin 7 and its a slut imho

heres some info
Quote:
1. retaining the nt harness - the nt harness can be completely retained and only needs the addition of some wiring to become the equivalent of the turbo wiring harness.
what you'll need to wire in:

7th wire from mas - the 7th wire from the mas needs to be run back to pin number 6

knock sensor - one wire can be grounded to the engine bay somehow, the other white wire needs to be run back to pin number 9 on the ecu.

wastegate solenoid - one wire here will be grounded, the other returns to the ecu at pin number 105

injector resistance pack - this is the most dificult. i'll let the following pictures describe it rather than trying to explain it in text. if you have any questions just ask.

thanks to don over at aialmatrix for getting mine to run and making this great diagram.

here's a link to my imagestation account where i have the factory ecu prints. the highlighted ones need added, and the model is in the upper corner so you don't get confused.

Wow! :o :D that is so helpful thank you very much woot! afm/maf same thing right? i'm running an n/a maf with turbo injecters and ecu hence the overfueling i think.

I don't know if you ever got confirmation on this, but you do need to match the maf with the injectors. In your case, I'm sure that if you are running the 4g61na maf with 390cc injectors, that is the reason for your rich condition.

If you haven't already you also need to wire in the injector resistor pack mentioned above or you'll burn up your injectors. I'm in the process of converting my 94 NA Elantra harness to a turbo harness but I haven't gotten very far. I've wired in the 7th pin for the Maf and the knock sensor but I need to snip some more connectors to do the rest.

Dont forget the FPR! Non turbos run 37psi, turbos run 27 psi on the rail. You're flowing 35% more fuel than needed through your injectors due to the higher fuel pressure.
