I just did my lifters and t-belt. After letting the tensioner do its thing for 30min I tried to manually crank it over with 17mm wrench and it's giving me a tough time. I have done it that way before several times and it never gave me such a hard time. I decided not to put all my weight into just incase one of my valves are out of whack and are hitting the piston.
If I try to go counterclockwise it will move freely....could I have just gotten weak and can't crank it over the compression stroke?
SOMEONE REASSURE MY BABY IS OK!!!

U probably have a pump up lifter(air)
Need to remove the lifter and manually bleed it.

If I can spin over a 468 cube engine with a cheap ratchet, you should be able to crank that little 4 popper over using your fingers.

You could try taking out your pushrods (closing all the valves) and then try spinning it over, then you'll know if it's the valves.
