Ok heres the problem..

When cold or right after start-up the vehicle drives fine...

After getting warm.. it will bog on trying to hard acceleration...

I'm thinking about purchasing a Colt GT turbo, and from the owner, this is a sympton of the car.... anybody got any ideas to what it could be???

He said it might be some sort of fuel delivery problem? idk

LET ME KNOW QUICK!! -Andrew

Sounds like a MAF or fuel delivery problem. Ask him what he's done to those two things.

only things that the motor has done to it is ported the 11b... could it be an O2 sensor failing?

but I'll ask him if there was anything done/hacking of the MAF.

Bad plugs with bad gaps will give similar situation.

You may also try another coil pack.

Does the coolant temperature sensor (the one for the ECu, it has two prongs) work as it should?

If all case fails...just do a 4g63t swap. Or else, if you don;t like what you buy and can not find the problem.Post it up for sale, I am sure someone else will buy it from you...

true, but I recently found another colt turbo, left a note on his car and he just called me today and said yeah he wants to get rid of it, and guess what... only 50,000 original miles :) some rust on the hatch, but it has the full GT turbo trim, wheels(with all center caps!!!) , oh and it has the rear window wiper haha.

The red one I just test drove, has FRIGGIN POWER WINDOWS! so sweet...

One thing, I had the hood open, and was opening the TB, rev's up great, but at like 1000-1500 rpms a noise starts to occur, sounding like it's running a little rough, coming from where the Top Timing belt cover area, also some belts that need tensioning... might be those flapping around creating the noise??

negatives of the red Colt Turbo-
-no a/c
-rust on the hatch below the window(I have an extra hatch)
-rust on roof(one hole through the roof which will leak water when it rains)
-I hate hawaii, damn rust!!
-hood is little curved in the middle(doesn't pop up when you pull the hood release so now it's a two man job, one pull the latch one pulls up the hood) but there are no marks on it or the bumper, so I don't know how it happened
-fuel gauge might not be working as it's resting on the peg at E and no fuel light. any ideas?
-Turbo seats are ripped, faded, etc.(have clean non-GT cloth seats, but should I get the turbo seats re-done?)
-Dash cracked to hell(have extra in same color)
-interior pretty much shot...

positives-
-Drives great
-49,xxx miles
-turbo spools great
-Original owner
-dash clock
-seems to shift fine, could use some help with some syncroshift lube or similar..
-All the GT turbo things, wheels with all centercaps, front lip, side skirts, wing..

just a lil rough around the edges...

Colt turbo's, are EXTREMELY rare in hawaii, I currently only know of 4 or 5 combined on all the islands.
