Sounds good - What does the 13b come off? Mine is a 13g...

Yeah with the 14b currently it is awesome when rolling - I beat all the LS1 commodores (i dragged a HSV senator 215kw Clubsport the other night) up to 150-160 k/ph

But yeah off the line they leave me in the dust...

Ive got the 02 sensor housing for the 13g and yeah if i swap ill probably go back to the 11b housing so I can sell off teh 14b and evo man/dump as a kit...

Im starting my new job on Monday so hopefully I can get the car on the dyno soon! (ive been on holiday for 6 weeks and cash is drying up :) )

the 13B's come off of the Automatic trans 1G DSM's. Mine was off an eclipse a/t turbo. Other than the turbo, all I needed was the O2 sensor housing and that usually comes with the turbo. The 11b and 13b are both TD04 housings. Similar to the differences between a 14b-16g. The compressor wheel on the 13B has split fins and the housing reads TD04HL.

True - but my goal is low rpm torque - and from most accounts that ive read - 14b's start spooling around the 3000-3500 rpm mark... I want full boost by 3000rpm :)

I know this dosent really apply, but I'll throw it in anyway.

I did the 4g63t swap and I was running an 11b on it. Totally amazing how fast that little thing spooled up. Light on the throttle and BAM, full boost. It was almost like a lightswitch when I had the rpm in the 3k range.

Driving around at 50% throttle and I was doing full boost. I rarely floored it, and when I did with the smaller turbo it didn't do a hell of a lot more.

I'm swapping the 14b in hopefully later today.

Hehe, an 11B on a 63. Almost over spooling the little thing. The exhaust ports are so small, i've never heard of putting to small of a turbo on a car. But that comes close.

Yeah, one time the line going to the wastegate actuator popped off... poor little turbo tried to boost to infinity.

Interesting though that it still only put out 9psi just as if it was still hooked up. Granted it was 9psi of very very very hot air :)

I may continue to run the 11b... depends on how I like the 14b for auto-x

Being winter here, we already had one crappy day so they salted the roads. Officially that makes it so louie is in for the season.

... But ..... It did rain so all that nasty salt dust is gone, and I really really wanna try out the turbo. So if the lines showed up today I may break my no-salt rule this one time ;)

*chant* "Go test it out" "go test it out" you know you want to :)

Andy, I checked your posts and yeah I know im running a 060 exhaust housing - it has been ported out though... so maybe thats making it a bit laggier too...

anyway - the turbo I have has an 050 housing... the old 11b has an 040 so hopefully this will be in between the two :) I found the 040 good but lacking in top end - i find teh 060 lacking in bottom end but fine in tope end!

Im going to check my pcv system again too - maybe reroute it...

Mike
