How much side to side play should be in the drive gear of the oil pump?

Okay, so there are gear marks in the housing, so I'm just going to assume that there's too much play.

How the heck do I get the drive gear loose? I can't get the nut on the timing belt side to come off.

if you are looking to replace the gears inside the housing you will need to pull the lower t-belt cover off. and remove the 10or 12mm bolts off and pull it thru.
i have a extra one here that you are more than welcome to. the oil pump was replaced when i rebuilt the 4g63. so it has about 10K on it. well if they are the same as 4g63

The drive gears should be the same, but I don't think that the front cover is? I could be off.

How do you break that 12mm nut loose on the drive gear? I've done everything short of trying to put the gear into a vise and going from there.
