My tachometer hasn't worked since I swaped over from a 4g61 to a 4g67, I wondered if anybody knew where in the engine bay the 4g67 picks up its signal and what wire it was and also which wire is it on the 4g61 dash loom end above the ecu?

I'm thinking I can just joint the wires from the engine loom to my dash loom bypassing the plug as I presume they should both run through there?

Any help would be great as I've been without for to long now :(

Put your 4g61 (four pin square connector) coil back on, and feed your tach from the white tach wire.

Your 4g67 coil probably has the 3 pin triangular connector.

Ps. Don't forget to run the 4g61 noise filter inline.

Your spot on with the plugs I went from 4 to 3 pins, only problem is I've not got the 4 pin coil and I also used the 4g67 engine bay loom, where does the 4g67 pick up the signal from if not from the coils?

It's getting it's tach signal from the different style power transistor, but that signal is not compatible with the tachometer.

Get your four pin coil back, or go tachless.

So if I changed to a 4g67 dash cluster it would then work?
