dragstr4g61t I really like your setup. How does it drive on the street? I think a 16g might be a bit small for me as I will most likly swap in an 4g63 when the 61 pops

I'm new to this 4cyl turbo thing so I can use all the help I can get! I've been racing Camaro's for the past few years the last one being an 02 ls1 car and all it took was a cam, bolt ons and 150 shot in a 3600# Car to run 11.50 @ 120 on my first pass @ Pueblo lol
I sold that car to Jared a few years back but my setup was very simple. My motor was stock from throttle body to the oil pan.
Mods at the time were:
pte 50trim/mitsu bolt on housing 7 cm (externally gated)
hks 272's (used)
fis 1150cc inj
ecmlink v2 (used)
slowboy racing cast manifold w/ 38 mm Tial W/G
Fidanza alum flywheel
ACT 2100 clutch (used lol)
hks bov (used)
Evo 8 FMIC ($100)
2g Maf
single walbro 255 with 30 amp wiring.
Running e85
...and slicks for the track
Everything else was bone stock, no fpr, intake manifold, ignition upgrades, tranny...all stock.
Jared and I were both able to run 10's on this setup, it was simple, easy to tune and ran for over 2 years of hell bent driving with thousands of street and strip pulls boucing of the limiter.
It was very streetable and I even daily drove it in the summer for 2 months averaging almost 30 mpg (no boosting lol) on e85. The 50 trim responds just like a ported 16G and was building boost just above 3000 rpms with 20+ psi in the mid 4000 rpm range. It was also very responsive between shifts like smaller turbo's. The larger turbo's Steve and Jared are running now litterally have lag between shifts unless you have very agressive NLTS settings. I felt the balance of street/strip was perfect for what I wanted. Sure the 61 mm and larger turbo's are fast but in most street situations and even at the strip, the smaller 50 trim was quicker and easier to drive fast.
