Sorry twokss, I don't like how that looks. Kinda looks like someone with really bad underbite. I will be looking for another bumper once taxes come back but for now the DSM bumper stays.

Dunno. Will certainly seal everything when I replace the floor. Who would have thought a 115,000 mile car would look like this?

Yikes! That floor looks pretty gnarly. Strip it, sand it, prime it ASAP and save that beauty.

Holy hell, that rot is indeed gnarly. Never took the time to really tear the vehicle down like you just did. Let me know if you need some help, wouldnt mind to be a helping hand.

It is all good bro! I hit a piece of metal some effing hillbilly left laying in the road in Kentucky and ruined a tire. Had to go buy a new one for $68. Hopefully I will be buying Galant uprights next week and putting on those 4 piston Mazda calipers. Then it is turbo time! 16g, 3" GM MAF w/MAFT, 550cc injectors and a 190lph pump. It shall scream...

I always forget to take pictures. And once my hands are greasy, handling the camera is not gonna happen.

Started out looking like this.
Image

Fixed the rot. Used a piece of stainless from an Ansul kitchen fire suppression system box.
Image

Wire wheeled off any rust, cleaned and painted affected areas with Sherwin Williams rust control. Also wire wheeled and re-sealed the "drain plugs" in the floor. No pictures.

Pressure washed, dyed and touched up with spray-paint the nasty grey carpet. I think it looks much better black. I am not so sure about the grey mats though.

Next up will be the new dash and bezel then some go fast and stop fast parts.

A P.O. cut it and attempted to grind and tap the shaft to match the knock-off Skunk2 shift knob. The result is a shift knob that constantly comes loose and cannot be made to sit in the correct position. It feels awesome and shifts great but is a nuisance. My plan is to cut the shaft further down and weld on a bolt that has the correct threads. I will use a nut tightened onto the bottom of the knob to hold it in the correct place. I also would like to heat and bend the shaft so that it has a better position in relation to me. I will definitely take pictures.
