I have parted out my awd colt this last year and only have a few things left of it, and sadly they wont work on this car and wont be going on this car. I found a picture of this car randomly on the net one day, kept searching during one of my drinking nights and having nothing better to do I found the owner on facebook about a year ago. Yesterday it went up for sale :). The car has had some mechanical issues with the cylinder head so the motor has since been replaced. There is now cosmetic stuff that has to be repaired, like the front bumper. The owner parked on a hill and it rolled into the curb, busted up the fiberglass bumper. It currently has a 1.6 in it, cold air, drilled rotors, 1.6'' Apexi lowering springs, and 17'' rims.

I really like the styling of the car and the fact that there is no other car like it around here. I am going to check out what it takes to get a car imported to Canada legally today and have it inspected/insured. I think the shipping on it would be more than the car itself. I have no idea what the car is worth or what to expect with it. Is it worth it or not? I dont plan on chopping this one to go awd or turbo, just keep it stock like it was in the United Kingdom.

Thanks,
Joe

If the price is right I would buy it in a heartbeat. I always wondered why the 3g was the last hatch that Mitsubishi sent over here, especially with the civic hatches being so popular in the US. I'm sure they would have sold a ton of them.

That car should share a bunch of parts with our 5g (97-02) cars. I think it would make a great daily driver and be really good on gas. Then you could keep the miles off of the Evo. :P

The price is very right :) If I said how much I was going to pay for it someone else on this board would probably buy it haha. And I picked up a 1980 chev 3/4 ton with a 6'' lift, 37'' tires, 10 ton winch and a few other goodies on it too. My big old winter beater 8)

Well I was informed that there is almost no cars from the UK imported to Canada due to some legal crap. I think its because of the people I talked to dont have any contacts with exporting a car from the UK. They all said "why not just buy one from Japan?", because the price isnt right from Japan thats why haha. Plus this one is pretty sweet. Anyways, if anyone is interested in importing it for themselves or if anyone knows someone that more informed with the laws on importing a car from the UK, give me a PM.

Contact a Mini importer, ala the early vintage Mini's. There are lots of sites and people that seem to import those little buggers, and if they can bring them over from that era, then surely it is not much different for you. It may have to be on the Registry post at ...er Transport Canada or something to that effect. There is a listing of eligible vehicles posted there IIRC, or maybe just the excluded ones.
