I'm grateful that Dodge gave me the chance to own a Colt by importing it for Mitsubishi. But either way it's a Mitsubishi. :finga:

My title calls it a dodge, but my colt says mitsubishi on it more times than dodge, even on the engine cover. Mopar is the parts/racing arm of dodge, I can only get parts from them, no racing parts....All the parts I get have a big tripple diamond on them. So I'll call it a mitsubishi with a little dodge badging. Just my opinion. :D
Precisely, so what's the harm of throwing an extra Dodge/Mopar badge on it right? I took the ones off the trunk and grille, so I need something to keep the knuckleheads from asking me what year Honda I'm spanking them with.

LMAO

please excuse my ignorance, whats with the crazy shifter?
That's my crazy bent shifter. It feels really comfortable in your hand, and never slips out of your hand during shifts. It's a bent CSM shifter with a DSM shifter knob. You don't like it? LOL

nah i realy like it, quite fancy one!

Oh shit... My title says this little black shoe box is a... PLYMOUTH! Really I can't stand this semantics discussion about what these cars are. There are many better topics to discuss than what these cars are in relation to name. No it is not a "Mopar" but yes it is a "Dodge". But there are stipulations.

That Mitsubishi/Dodge/Plymouth Colt/Mirage is super clean. But that shifter is less than ideal. I am sure it feels great to hold but what is a fast 2nd to 3rd shift like?

I think I can shift pretty quickly. 1-2, 2-3, whichever. It took a little bit to get used to at first, but it doesn't slow me down at all. People complain about these transmissions all the time, but I have to admit, I have no idea what their problem is. I don't miss shifts. Perhaps everyone elses shifter is less than ideal.

The only thing that makes my shifter less than ideal, is that I have a perfect grip on the thing. Not really sure how that's bad though.

According to my logs on DSMlink, 2-3 takes no longer than 1-2.

2nd-3rd should take longer than 1st-2nd. If it works for you man than rock it out. I just couldn't see myself holding that going for 3rd from 2nd quickly. HUGE props for such a clean CSM.

I think it has a lot to do with having good shift cables and good springs on the detent mechanisms. I just push the shifter forward, and it goes into third by itself basically.

It pops into the center as soon as it hits the neutral gate, so third is just that easy. There are springs on the shift fork rods, and the shifter to make sure of that. The decreased height from bending the shit out of it, basicaly makes it a short throw shifter with a T handle.

If you tried it you would like it.

In the first pic, on the first page, what is that object that starts about 2 inches right your screen. It goes all the way down to the floor. It looks like a mix between a j pipe, a riding crop, and a lightbar? Is that where you store your pimp cane?
