I have been slowly gathering parts for my swap, I think I have everything now, but just encountered a large setback. I purchased a motor from GRE performance, Josh there told me that the motor was 4g63t out of 90 GSX that he pulled from the junk yard complete motor minus the turbo. He told me that he didnt know what condition it was in but I purchased it from him anyways, planning on building the motor. Well I purchased the motor and took it to a local shop to start the swap and was informed that the mother was a 4g67. I tried contacting him about returning the motor but he wants me to ship it him first. Now if he was someone I can trust I might do that but honestly I dont trust him. I have asked him to refund my money first and then also send me money for shipping and I will ship it out to him but I haven't heard a reply back yet. Let me know how I should take care of this.

Well, If I was refunding your money, I'd like to see the motor first as well.

i'm with these guys on this one ---^

there's no way if i were running a business that i would ever give a refund until i had my merchandice back. having said that, you prolly won't get shipping fees back, but make sure you keep all your receipts for this guy. if he decides to try and give you the shaft, then you can take him to court on failing to provide a refund/proper engine.

For the love of God man, please be carefull of prostreet... ive heard of a lot of horror stories about them. Tell me through PM how much they're charging you to do the work and i'll let you know if i can save you some money through my friend who helped me do my 2.0 swap.

If they're as bad as you say, they might tell him it's a different motor along with "we've got the right motor in back but it'll cost you $$$ and we'll buy that 4g67 off you..." just to make some easy cash off an unsuspecting person.

Prostreet pretty much knew right when I brought the motor in. The first thing they noticed was the flywheel was not a turbo flywheel, and then they showed me the 4g67 stamped onto the block. I didn't even know that the engine code was there. Good to know for the future. I have done business with Pro street before, and I have been happy with their service so far. Thanks for the concern.
