i came across a fuel made from cellulose products ( leaves grass clippins corn ) that is very much equivelant to 106 octane and its all natural and is ready to use in an un modified gas engine... o yea.. un modified unless your running a carb. i dont know how it is made im still looking that up but i do know during the process of fermenting it ... it smells bad as the author of the article stated but what comes out is an alcohol which shouldnt smell like straigh @$$....

106 octane from grass clippins sounds pretty good to me.. it also increases torque.. it makes a gas engine act like a diesel increasing torque by a good percent and increases gas milage...i wonder if any awd colts would run 100% butanol and rip the whole rear end out from under it

yea butanol.com i read it there... i read that with a car you have to do something to the jets like drill them out so they are a lil larger...

Due to the lack of support for other fuels a lot of this stuff is made cruddier then it needs to be most likely it would clog up a crab quick, and pressure often helps ignite everything as its far from as pure as people would like, often with a full mix of bio-diesel you have to change the fuel filter pretty often. Until congress and the like stops taking money form big oil companies these great alternatives will stay buried. I actually watched a press conference from george bush this week and the energy crisis was brought up and his frigen solution was to build more refineries because we had not built any since the 70's not more fuel efficient uses, or alternatives but more frigen refineries can you tell hes a Texas boy--but hey I voted for him cause that other hippy would have taken away my guns-Lesser of two evils and mama always told me stick with the devil you know.

That's the most information on their site about running it in a carb'd engine. For the main site trying to represent the stuff, they sure don't have alot of information about it.

IIRC butanol is a solid at room temperature.

Apologies for semi-hijacking this thread, but you might want to look into polyisobutylene instead. Gasoline is supposed to already have some as a detergent, but it is said to add anti-knock protection & more power.

Found in 2-cycle smokeless engine oils like Torco GP-7. Some say mix at 10ppm, others say 1000ppm.
