2 months ago i replaced the ECU on my Colt and it fixed the problem right up... suck part is that now it seems to have happened again... i need to know what to look for as to why my ECU is dead again.... any and all ideas welcome...

But after only 2 months... it cant be that bad of a defect...

would this be a problem if i parkedthe car and it wouldnt turn on again after 2 hours?

got spark... got engine turn... just no boom

It might be the caps. Those commonly go bad. You might want to replace those. It's pretty inexpensive.

Why not? all these ECUs are the same age 12+ years old yes its definetly the caps every ECU has faulty caps its not a matter if they die its when they die... fix the caps fixes the problem...

I will not dispute the cap issue, had it happen to me twice. Another thing that might be frying the ECU is the ISC. If your car has a bad idle and you do not replace the ISC then yes this can fry the ECU.
