This car belongs to a buddy of mine. It's his daily-driver, and the swap is completely California-legal. It's an LS1 bottom-end with LS6 internals, LS6 heads, and intake manifold. It also has custom long-tube headers and a tune. It made ~350whp on 91 octane, and weighs approx. 2,800lbs. It's a VERY fun car, indeed. Here are some photos:

3.) The wheels are Rota P45R, 18x9.5 +20 all around.

5.) The transmission is a T-56, out of a Camaro

6.) This is a full-interior car, as it is daily-driven

A/C and it would a perfect daily! Very nice, well built car though. Does he race or drift it?

He's working on getting AC going for it. The compressor is already in there, he just has to get custom lines made. It will have cruise control eventually, as well.

He doesn't really race it. It's his daily-driver. He also has a '71 240z with a RB26 swap that was making 500+whp on pump gas + meth, but he blew it up at the track, and it's getting all re-done now. He also just recently took on another project, building up a Factory-Five GTM kit car with an LS2 and a Porsche transaxle. :o

He did take it to the local 1/8th-mile drags once. Wheelspin was a MAJOR issue. It was trapping 90mph in the 1/8th though, launching in 2nd gear, and still only getting a 2.4 60-foot.

Very nice car. I thought engine swaps across platforms wasn't allowed? I guess it is if this car is CARB legal...

The engine just has to be of the same year, or newer than whatever chassis it's going into. Doesn't matter if it's a different platform. The car is 100% CARB legal

Looks great, he probably needs better brakes. Don't q45/300zx brakes fit on it?

It actually has 300ZX TT brakes front and rear, and a 300ZX TT master cylinder.

Those wheels must be huge then, because they look really small. :kitty: Oh well, the car is sexy as fruit and banana though. Has he done a 4 point weight before?

AWESOME.

The 300ZX brakes, while slightly larger than the OEM, aren't huge. Same diameter as the rotors on early Altimas, actually...and those fit fine under 16" rims. But I would probably want to go with something even bigger.

I would rock that S14 in a second.

The wheels are 18's, and the brake rotors are only ~11" up front. 4-piston calipers though. He's never corner-weighted it before, I'm just guessing at the car's weight, I honestly don't know what it is, but it's gotta be under 3,000lbs. for sure.

He can take it to the dump off convoy and find out for free in a heartbeat. I'll want that info before I buy it under your nose.
