I think its finally time to start looking for a new or decent shape used turbo. The one I got now is a td05 off my 91 laser. Just curious, the exhaust housing is not shared with any other turbo is it? As mine is cracked up so bad where the waste gate is that you can stick toothpicks through it at atleast 3 different spots. The car still runs fine, just that the spool up is horribly slow. When it was in my other car it wouldnt keep up with more than 15psi. So by spring I want to change it out, figured I would start looking now. Already got a 3 inch exhaust, bigger injectors, fuel pressure regulator and a smic. So I probably will get a bigger turbo too. Is it worth to fix the one I got now

Just look on ebay and find a blown 14b and swap the houings out since your turbo is good. If you'd rather go with a new one there are plenty of Mitsubishi units for around $450-$550 like a small 16g or an evoIII 16g.
