How much would it cost in labor to do the swap.

Just trying to figure out the costs of both ends of it.
It's impossible to say how much labor will cost. I'll tell you this much, it will cost more than what your car is worth, especially once you factor in things like a custom exhaust and an intercooler setup that go along with the motor swap.

In my opinion if you can't swap the car yourself, buy a swapped car or wait for an original turbo car to come along. I can actually sell you the correct mounts or modify your existing ones if you ship them to me. I also make an "adapter harness", not an entire harness. You still need a 91-94 DSM wiring harness but you can plug it right in to the stock csm dash harness using my adapter harness.

You will still have to buy turbo axles, I think you can still get them new at Carquest. I bought a pair a few years ago but since then I have read that several people have not been able to get them. If your car is a 4 speed or an auto you will have to swap in a hydro pedal assembly from a 5 speed car since the dsm tranny is hydraulic.

If you attempt the swap yourself at least you know the work was done correctly if you take your time. All the info is here, or in the archives.

I could do the swap. Just don't have access or room or the tools at my apt.

Which is why I wanted to get one already swapped and if it has minor bugs fix it my self.

The swap is huge work if you start with a base model Colt. You even have to remove the entire dash to swap out the brake and clutch pedals.

You'll probably want the brakes swapped out too; the originals are totally useless.

If you can't find a turbo Colt or Mirage, you can use a 1.6 N/A car for donor parts, and a Turbo DSM for the engine and ECU. You'll want a whole car for the 1.6 mounts, brakes, hydro clutch, cluster, seats, tilt telescopic wheel, wiring harness, etc, etc...

I can do the swap for you at my shop. You'll probably say it would be rediulous to ship it all the way to NY to have the work done, but that cost would be negligible compared to the amount of labor involved.

I can tell you, the end result is "HOLY SHIT!", and when you race someone their response is "HOLY SHIT!"
