Hello, I hope someone here can answer my questions, I did a google search & search on this board but no luck and Im sorry if this is a newbee questions.

Im doing a 93 Mitsubishi Expo Auto to Manual Conversion, I already have this following parts off a 92 Plymouth Colt Vista, Manual Shifter Assembly, 3 Pedal Assembly, Slave, Master, the hydraulic line from slave to master. 5 speed Tranny, Clutch/Flywheel/Realease Bearing, Manual ECU.

What wiring or rewiring I need to do? like for the ignition switch (auto vs. manual is different), safety clutch switch, wiring the shifter assembly so the car will start, since it wont have neutral safety switch anymore, do I need to do ecu wiring? since Tranny Control Module will be eliminated and wiring a reverse switch.

Any info about the wiring part on this auto to manual is appreciated. Thank you

I've swapped two of these. All I did was find the large connector that plugs into the auto trans. There are two heavy gauge wires. Cut them and solder them together. This bypasses the neutral safety switch and allows the starter to get power when you turn the key. That's it. Auto ECU works perfectly, no need for the manual one. These use a separate TCU anyway so I doubt there's much difference between the ECU's. Nice to have a spare though.

I never wired in the clutch safety switch. As a matter of fact I always unplug it on factory manual Mitsu's but that's just me.

What is the trans from? If it came from a wagon did you grab all of the mounts?

Both of mine were FWD's with bad auto transmissions and in my case it was cheaper to swap them. If I were to do an all out build like you did I agree, the auto would be way cooler.
