Might be a dumb question, but I did do a 5 min search. Has anyone tried to use air bags (air ride) in the rear of a summit? I ask as I have a friend here at work that does a lot of lowered S10 stuff and loves running air bags on any application that he can. A pic of the wagon awd subframe came up on my desktop and realize it looks like the seat for the rear springs would make for a good seat for a bag. I didn't know if anyone has tried this? I did notice that Lancerman also notice this and had the idea. So I wanted a discussion on this.
I know most of us are looking for a way to lower our summit via chop springs or aftermarket springs (which I don't know if their is an option for this as I never looked into it). But I would assume bags would work nice in that you could change your ride height and stiffness in the rear depending on your type of driving.
I don't have much experience with bags except for my 31 dodge rat rod I purchase last summit and still getting used to. I have a lot of side to side play in the rat rod, but I chalked that up to my really tall tires in the rare and straight axle, which changes the dynamic completely.
