You didn't even just ease into it with a 14b to start, you go with a built engine, double synchro trans twin di$c clutch, Ball bearing turbo? Aem ecu,etc etc, 400whp at 21 psi? SICK!!!

Very, very nice work! And props for sticking it out and finishing the car. Good ol' Boscoe lol, wonder what that guy is up to these days? He used to get drunk and post up stupid crap in people's threads to piss them off.

Well, you know what they say..... Go big or go home!

No, as hard as it is to believe but I bought a whole turbo kit from a guy for a Evolution that I was going to put on a 86 Escort. Top of the line stuff including the Turbonetics turbo. It came with a custom built (USA) manifold and so I decided to get a vehicle with a 4g63. I did not know at the time I went down this road the engine in the Evolution is facing the opposite side!! I bought the engine thinking I would start small and work up but get a engine that would handle whatever I decided to do. After I bought the engine I showed the manifold to the guy building the engine and he had a Evo and let me know the manifold would not work. Sometimes things work out in the end.

Thanks, I wish I had finished it sooner.
To ANYBODY thinking of building a 4G63t AWD...whatever..., Do it!!!! I am positive I have the quickest 1/4 mile car with 195/60R15 tires!!! This car launches with no name street tires.

Love this car!

Found some build pictures and thought someone might need some ideas.
The Eclipse rear shocks will be too short so I welded in Eclipse upper mounts but located them lower so stock Eclipse shocks would work with no modification.

So I hate winter and to keep from going postal I am trying to find new projects for the Summit. The rims on it are after market's I bought and I think they look good and somewhat original. The problem is they are uni-lug and I am worried how they will stand up at the strip with sticky tires. So I searched for O.E. rims that look good on the car, built strong and fit well. I searched a local yard and found some I like. They are directional so ther are left and right rims, they have steel inserts where the lugs go for strength and fit well. They are early 90's Infinity 15" rims and were in crappy shape.

So I spent about 2.5 hours glass beading the rims tonight. I got 2 done tonight, the cabinet I am using is way too small so it is a pain in the ass and the cabinet is set up for a midget so I am all hunched over!! Here are the after pics with no paint.

Wow, what a difference! I think we have similar blast cabinets too because it was all I could do to get our 15" GVR4 wheels in there. You plan to paint them or just leave them silver?

They will be painted, I am really having a issue with color. I do not want stupid looking rims and i din't think there are many colors that look good. I think white is out (although I really like white rims but I do not think they would look right with the blue body) and I think black would look wrong. I am thinking charcoal and possibly a rid stripe since the Summit has the red accent stripe on the moldings. So lets hear what you guys think, I will consider anything but remember I am the oldest (In age not years on this site) person here so nothing stupid like pink!!!
Thanks,
Mark

I actually think white would look best. It looks great with that blue; kind of a smurf thing to it. I would clean up the very outer lip to a polish though if you did white.

What about charcoal and polish the outer lip? What does the center cap look like, maybe toss on some red mitsu diamonds or something? I actually don't think the white would look too good with that blue but that's just my opinion.

The center cap is 7" round brushed aluminum. I am going to fill the Infinity logo and paint them the color of the rim. I am thinking of having Eagle logos printed on the center caps.
