Thanks for the info. Yea, it may be stock once again (except for the colt GT front brakes) it is still truckin along. I am very happy that you used the adapter plugs instead of hacking into the stock wiring. Made my swap much easier. The black colt should be on the road for many years since the motor is new.

I picked up a pristine 1" MC from a Dodge Stealth for the yellow colt so these twin piston calipers should be much happier.

Was able to get some work in on the Little Bird on Saturday before the snow came in (I figured 20 degrees and numb hands was a good stopping point). Got all the mounts buttoned up, axles in, radiator in, fluids in, wiring harness connected up, ECU in, brake and clutch MC's installed, HKS SSQV/GM-MAF/DSMLink MAF cable installed and the FMIC mounted. The FMIC was a mother because I still want some crash beam. My 3" cutting tool gave up the ghost after a couple minutes, so I had to saws-all it. Still managed to save the entire front half of the crash beam. Now just need to modify the center core/latch support bar so the hood will latch. Also want to clean up the bumper cut with a new cutting wheel so I can ensure the entire FMIC is getting the airflow it needs.

All that remains is finishing up the positive battery connections under the hood, running the battery relocation, re-assembly of the rest of the interior, setting the front camber, bleeding the clutch/brakes and installing/welding the exhaust.

Can't wait to drive this thing again in about a week (this time with power AND lsd). Still have to finish the 90 talon for my youngest to DD and get to work on my Wife's Summit wagon.

Got the car ready to go on Saturday morning. Was bleeding the clutch and WHAM!! Clutch fork broke. So, out came the axles and transmission again. THEN, the taller bolt hole for the tranny mount cracked off. So, had to put the non-lsd tranny in to get this up and running. Fortunately I have a bad f5m33 sitting in the back yard that I can steal the case from. Guess I can make it look purdy at the same time before installation.

After the transmission fiasco I installed the battery and tried to start the car, click-click. Tried my battery from the Summit wagon, click-click. Mind you, both of these were fully charged a month ago and have been in the house. Not sure if the super cold temps we had up till February killed the batteries or what, but I tossed them on the charger again to see if they are ok. Otherwise I guess it is a trip to the parts store for a new one. But will be good to get it on the road and boostin' tonight.

Thought we would snap some pics of the final product. Installed some new gauges in the center console and gave her a bath.

Yes, the tach works. Only thing that doesn't work is the ac, because it has been pulled.

Looks good. Dat front camber doe. A red stripe down the molding would break up all the yellow too.

That is just a weird effect from the camera. Camber is dead on. I had to go out and look after I took the pic to make sure

The alternator died on Thursday night. So, I ordered a new ACDelco alternator for the 93-99 saturn. It was only $85 shipped from amazon with sunday delivery! I've never had an issuewith the gm alternators. Hope this one is the same.

I got it installed yesterday. I hated grinding on such a new, pristine part, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Of course the wiring for my Colt is a bit different. Colts have a RED large wire and a white small wire for the alternator vs the 1g DSM large YELLOW and small BLACK. Plus, the plug I got off the saturn at PAP had a striped wire to F pin and solid to L (which is opposite of what I have seen in writeups). I just ignored colors and went with the instructions and now I can turn on my turn signals without the tach bouncing.

I also swapped out my throttle-body. I got tired of the 2300rpm cold start, sticky throttle plate and bad ISC.

Here is where you grind the front case to match the block. Then keep rounding them both off until the alternator will install with the pivot bolt and rotate.

Here is where the two raised areas get ground flat.
