Probably a good choice as you may of had some clearance issues on one or more of the following depending on the manifold.. motor mount, water pipe, radiator, oil filter.

Yea I would have had clearance issues with all of those. 16g should bolt right up though I think?

Yes. You will need the oil and water lines from a 14b or any other TD05 style turbo, since the stock turbo on the 4g61t is a TD04 unit.

Does someone sell a kit for this or is it something i'm going to have to piece together?

You'd probably be better off piecing it together. There are kits out there, but they will probably come with extra stuff that you don't need.

Makes it easier to run without water. You can block off the water pipe with a bolt. We have done that or weld it off. I think I have all the pieces needed for a 16g. I think I have a bag of those parts.

Why would I block off the water since its a water cooled turbo?

Clutter, less possible leaks, pain in the ass to get them on and off.

Plenty of other enthusiasts that use MHI turbos on different platforms run the turbos without the water passing through the CHRA. You definitely want an external oil cooler though.

Ill have to look into it when the turbo gets here If I can run the water lines with out to much hassle its got to keep the turbo cooler and let it live longer I would think. If you you have the parts I need steven I would buy them off ya :D

I looked at a kids colt the other day and he went straight off the j pipe straight up and across the radiator but the pipe didnt look very big I like how that setup looked and functioned but not so much on the pipe size. What size is optimal off the turbo to intercooler and from intercooler to throttlebody?
