Great local shop ran a little test cam teat (with dyno numbers) on those BC 280 cams your running. Very interesting results.

Very nice link, I've been thinking this for a while. My lil HKS 272's are still putting down great power while most guys around here have the BC 280's. They just don't seem to perform like I would expect from a 280. Davis is the only one I can remember on the BC 280's that made great power for the mods and he was one of the first to get them, could have been a better batch before they became popular and mass produced. Cam's are to important to cut corners on.

Sorry about the hijack too, this car is absolutely sick and I can't wait for some race vids. Why not get the 1600's in with Link? You don't need AEM to do that and many cars gain nothing by going to AEM except slower launches. Just my opinion though.

Cam tests like this are a touchy subject. Sort of like intake manifold tests, way too many variables go into saying whether or not the tests are accurate. I run the BC 280's in my car, and I'm very, very disappointed with the loss of low-end, but over 5,000rpm the car screams and doesn't fall off until damn near 9,000rpm. This is all butt-dyno of course. I run them with adjustable cam gears and never found a combination better than straight up and down, but again, that's butt-dyno. I've never had the car on an actual dyno, so it's hard to say. Despite all of this, I have been thinking a lot about going back to HKS 272's.

updates: aem ems went in and we threw a fwd tranny for now till my friends saves the money for the rear end work.
car made 510whp on wg spring pressure (22psi).

so beeing fwd we bought some 24" slicks for it and took it to the track.

car went 7.30 @ 105mph granny shifting to see how the car would react to the track,
only thing that went bad was the twin disk.. 2 year old disks on it.

will update next week

Ok I'm confused here, you say it's a 1g tranny but from the pics it looks like a 2g tranny because the 2g tranny has mounts on the tranny like that. Now also, in the pics I see a t-case, is this going to be fwd or awd?

Not trying to be a dick, rather just curious, that's all, lol.
