Heres a quick run down.
I bought a summit sedan from mich. about a month or so ago for $800. pretty clean. and it didnt run. Put a good ecu in it and bam. It ran great. Started taking it apart for the swap two weeks ago.
Last week a buddy moved into a apartment and i helped him move. I noticed another white summit sedan. It looked as if it had been sitting a long time so i walked over to take a look at it. And I was suprised. Its a 1989 eagle summit LS. DOHC 1.6 has the turbo cluster, seats and steering colum. 95k miles. and 5spd. I didnt think it ran, as there was spider webs on the tires and what not. So i put a note in the window with my number asking if they wanted to sell it.
Well today, a week later. i wake up to a phone call. Its the guy who owns it. Says that he needs to sell it because he's a little low on money. So i go over and look at it. Test drive it. Turns out, his father is the original owner. bought it new in 89. And his dad gave him the car 5-6 years ago. And he puts maybe 20miles on it a month. has a company vehicle so it just sits.
It has alot of new parts. and a folder thats probably 2-3" thick of ALLLL the service recipts from over the years. The front seats had seat covers on them. I was kinda worried they were trashed. but it turns out the drivers side started to get a small tear. So they put seat covers over them to keep them nice. and there MINT! the interior is extremely clean. body is pretty clean. some paint issues, and 1 dent that can probably be fixed.
I pick it up thursday! I'll have pictures then! Im fruit and banana stoked.
