I have heard very good things about the quality of Ksports in the 3/S world. I didnt know they made them for Mirages but I would like to find out.

Looks like only 4G and 5G. No 3G application listed.

Eclipse
(AWD) 89-94 CMT051-KP $1150

9/504
7/392 Incl. Front Pillow Ball Mount & Rear Top Mount

^^^^ That will fit a 3G, just gotta swap the Mirage's rear lower strut bushings into the new coilovers.

My buddy has a set on his S14 240SX. They handle great but they creak. This is apparently a common issue with them (he's researched the hell out of the problem).

Are the upper strut mounts the same for a 4g or 5g Mirage as a 3g? Cause if they are couldn't you just get the AWD 1g DSM kit, and ask for the newer Mirage hats so that it'll all bolt right up?

How does the quality compare to TEINs?

As far as I've been told these things are just re-badged Apex'i coils. Not sure if this is true? Still awaiting answer about hats though  .

Doubt it, they are made by a Korean company if I'm not mistaken.

*Edit*

Here's a thread on a DSM board about them. They may in fact be the same manufacturer for both.
Also mentioned in the thread is how stiff/harsh they ride. If they are too stiff in a 3200lb car I probably wouldnt want the same ones in a 2400lb car.

Ksports are identical to D2's.

From what I heard Ksports and D2 is the same Korean company. Also they do not last very long.

A lot of 3S (3000GT and Stealth) owners have been having problems with K-sports. The biggest problem is leaking struts, This has happened to about 1/3 of the 3S owners on 3Si.org that have tried them.

The second problemis that some people's Ksports have come out of adjustment height wise. At least 2 3S owners have has the struts hit the hood and dent it.

The best compliment to the K-sports is they use a spring rate that is better for the street. The Tein and JIC aviailble for a 3S are brutally still track only springs. I had a set of TEIN HA's on my Stealth and I took them off after a month because the ride so stiff the car wasn't fun to drive anymore.

There are a couple of people with 4g and 5g mirages that have had problems with them also. I have not heard any bad things about D2, But alot about ksport. Kinda odd if they are the same.

i cant say how they are on csm, or dsm but i have had k sport coilovers on my mr2 and i do not recommend them to anyone.

Ive blown two coilovers and bent the tension bars and i don't auto x or drive my mr2 agressively. They were mounted correctly if you think it was a bad install.

good price but you do get what you pay for. The warranty is okay dealing with customer service if you have a good shop that distrubutes them. Also there is two spring rate to choose from STIFF or STIFF :P

why buy a coilver with all the works that will break down when you can get a set of entry level coilovers from teins for a couple hundred more

thats my 2 cents
