Wow it's quiet in here! Maybe I'm just used to very busy forums. I will probably keep posting just so I can look back and see how far we've come on this project but it'd be cool if you guys would offer up more comments, feedback, suggestions. Thanks to all who have posted here and in other threads answering questions. It has been a real big help thus far, obviously not energy wasted on a lost cause and much appreciated!

Tom

Glad to see things are working out for you!
However we can only offer help if you need it. If we dont hear from you, we can only assume you are knocking this swap out with no hiccups!! :P

Guess you're right. There'd be more conversation if I had problems so the silence is probably a good thing. I'll just keep on updating. Image Image

Spent Saturday up at the mountain and all day today detailing my Integra to get it sold (being replaced with a Galant VR4!) so not much progress. Did get my Techna-Fit clutch line (got it installed on the motor) - http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/price/M ... ar_Coating and LIPP o2 housing this week - http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/price/M ... 2_Housings

Prothane inserts are on the way, need to get a clutch soon too because the Talon would barely make it into boost on the way home from buying it without the clutch disc goin for a spin. Next weekend we'll be on the hunt to get the rear mount from the same Elantra we got the rest from, new non-fender bendered fenders, and an AWD intermediate shaft. Whether or not we get all of those we'll get started on getting the mounts installed with poly inserts, power seatbelts removed, harness and ECU pulled from the Talon/Colt and clutch pedal/master cylinder installed. So much left to do, seems like we haven't done anything yet!

Not too much to report from last weekend but some from last week. I sold my '94 Integra and picked up #396/1000, a 1992 Galant VR4 :) Spent quite a bit of time messing with that car, went to our service dept's dyno day - http://www.torquefreaks.com/RedLine_Sat.htm and http://www.torquefreaks.com/RedLine_Sat_2.htm Good times there, saw our shop Supra put down 789whp at 36 psi on only 11 degrees advance (need to get that fixed) through the auto trans. First passes this weekend looking like low 9s. Sunday was out and about in the Evo and got a shot at a Lamborghini Gallardo. See details here - http://www.theintegraforums.com/showthread.php?t=1595

Now for the small bit of Colt news! Got the tranny off of the 4g63, clutch and flywheel pulled and valve cover swapped to the Hyundai variety, gave the motor and trans a cleaning...and that's about it :) Hopefully make some more small progress this weekend but with opening Friday night drags for the season and other crap going on I dunno how much.

Glad to hear we took good care of you but I'm not surprised :) ATR is out of business as of about 6 months ago but there are tons of other options as I'm sure you are aware.

So it's been a while since I've done an update so I figure it's due! I can't remember exactly what we did the previous two weekends but not much on the Colt, lol. We pulled the entire engine harness, ECU and MPI relay out of the donor Talon this past weekend and I got rid of the shell which was COMPLETELY thrashed by the time we were done...for $200. That leaves us at $1350 for the big parts: Colt, 4g63T, FWD tranny, harness and ECU. I think we're finally done with teardown! I'm due for a SPEC windowed kevlar clutch kit and ACT flywheel and we can get started throwing this thing together :) Will keep you guys posted as we make progress toward getting this thing assembled

Here are some pics of the disassembly of the Talon:

Ben getting the harness loose in the engine bay

Bryan starting the dash disassembly

Me making sure the E-brake doesn't fly away

And a shot of the Colt all clean for good measure

Here's the shell missing front axles and all brakes being towed away, the new owners trying to kill themselves and others on the road....

I'll update again soon!
