UPDATE!!

The GSR ran 12.62 @ 107mph with a slipping clutch and on the 17" wheels. Unfortunately the death rattle began two days before the summer season started and I didnt get to improve that time after spending $2000 on the car getting it ready! Oh well, see my new post about my daily driver!!! 8)

Yeah, its going to be a two year build, shooting for 450hp and mid 11 sec 1/4s.

Meanwhile..

Its around 5 or 6000rpm. Not 100% sure as i'm just pulsing the revs and keeping my eye on the tree. Really need launch control for the new setup.

No you dont. 4G63 is a FAR better option. 4G93s are pretty weak - have a penchant for throwing con-rods through the block , even 4G61Ts shit on them for reliability.

Well time for an update!

Engine has been removed and pulled apart - diagnosed with a destroyed big end bearing on number 2. Car is pretty much a shell with interior at the moment. RS Gearbox being rebuilt (mm front LSD) along with a custom 4 spider centre diff :D Rear diff has had an Evo 3 plate type LSD inserted to retain the diff final drive of 3.545:1 - means I should be able to keep it in 4th rather than changing to 5th down the 1/4 if I had the Evo 3.909:1 ratio diffs.

2nd hand Autronic SMC ECU purchased, off a Proven 10 sec Lancer here in NZ. Argo rods and custom JE pistons have also been purchased aswell. Should make for a much stronger bottom end.

Few other things picked up along the way. 60mm throttlebody, Apexi power intake filter. Evo 3 orange lensed corner indicators (instead of the factory clear ones)

Full rundown on the build and history of the car can be viewed here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1907554

Also: have a look at my other cars here: http://www.cardomain.com/id/GSRWRC
