Hey im from Los angeles just got a 89 4g15 5 speed few days ago. At the moment its just for DD and saving me gas. Im interested in lowering her (might get the ksport coilovers) and some bigger rims. I was in the DSM scene for a bit. Might try to attempt the 4g63t swap later on. Im a total noob to this CSM scene but Ill try posting pics of her up once I can.

best advice I can give you... SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH the forum before u buy stuff.. to make sure you have the correct parts before u order them.

On drag radials.auto trans.launching @ 5 psi and no traction thru 2nd.

yeah just been reading over and over and it seems like a no go on the ksports haha. Damn not that much of a choice suspension wise : /

unfortunately its alot of mix and matching of parts on these cars but in the end they are awesome..

i just bought a set of front kyb gr2s for my car. was running dsm ones with eibach pro springs and it rubbed on harsh bumps..hopefully these will be better..the rears I had to cut a old shock and weld it on to extend the dsm ones so it didnt rub..

same with the engine mounts for the swap.. we use Hyundai elantra mounts.. theres alot of info here just takes a few weeks to read thru it all LOL.

yeah I bought this car with 93k miles on it. amazingly everything is good including suspension. Might just get some gr2s because its supposed to be a bit stiffer on this car (on dsm's they are direct replacements) Yeah would be nice to lower her just a tad bit and make the ride stiffer but not horrific like ive been reading : /

I forgot which thread but I think its in the parts review. People where saying tooo harsh for street driving. Others where saying they kept blowing out in that thread. I do know sometimes when a brand is horrible on one car it can be very amazing on another. (eibach sportlines 2g dsm horrible, 1g dsm great)

I just want to know if anyone has actual experience in them and not oh my friends neighbor's brother said they're bad

here some picts of the car. I have few things wrong with the car. It might need a new headgasket since coolent is leaking but it hasnt mixed with the oil just leaking on the head itself. My trans makes this horrible loud noise. Original owner said it was one of the bearings gone bad. The trans itself shifts smooth and everything. I do want to drop in a 4g63t but considering the car has 93k miles makes me want to just drive the car and save gas until its her time to get swapped. Im the third owner. The person who bought the car before me bought the car around 33k miles from a old lady and it was garaged. The previous owner had it for 5 years and had it garaged also. Paint seems pretty good considering its a 89. The interior is pretty good For 850 dollars I thought it was a good deal.
Hopefully I learn more info from you guys and not be a total noob
