Hey guys !

My name is Gustav and I have a Colt GTi thats the name here anyways :)
Image
This is me, (no shit) I am 20 years old ATM. My hobbies are computers and games, sports (floorball, football 'n stuff ), things with engines .. even though I might not be good, and dare to get involved with things and snowmobiling, love to go snowmobiling. and yeah .. I'm from Sweden :)

Can look somthing like this :supz:
Image

The Colt came into my hands most of an impulse, quick check of the car, drove home and picked up money .. resulted in a Colt GTi 1.8 16V -90. No visible rust, newly renovated control box, super nice inside and only 174000km (1 Km = 0.62137 miles, believe it to be so .. otherwise 17 400 Swedish "mil") it is completely original except for any upgrade in the stereo track. I have the cool model of the colt, in my opinion i think ... the roof with SuperTop, I just love it! completely awesome! :) :supz:

and this is the way it looks right now because I can not find any parts for it, it may not even exist anymore?

It is my dailydriver tho :) Need a little wax and polish to bring back the red color again, could have killed for a lowering kit. Gladly coilovers that do not cost as much as the car ... like those cheap coilovers for the VW Golf had been gold.

I might fill in later if I find something, otherwise just ask .. I do not bite :)

Yaaaay another one :)
That is one great car!

Had a same problem with color (still have :D). Good polishing will get the color out really good, but for some time, then it goes flat again.
Only way is to repaint it. I guess your is the same as mine its not metallic color.

Here is my garage, you can see the change in paint by just polishing it.

Mine was 1.6 and with US spec bumpers (Dubai edition).

What parts do you need for it? :)

Coilovers are hard to find, but D2 are making ones for our cars. I'm waiting on them atm. My friends have them on and they are great.
Only thing is they cost around $1000 (around 670€)..

I don't thing you will find cheep coilovers for Colt.. Actually I didn't find other then D2 for that matter :D
Cheapest way would be combination of springs and shocks.

Thanks guys ! Think I will take som new photos soon..

I just want a clean look

My buddy is building a Golf MK1 GLS VR6T 4Motion Open Air -81 ..

but looks like I cant get my care as low as he..

My car did cost me like 1099 EUR ~ so dont think D2 coils is a option.. :(

the thing is that I'm looking for everything, I've hardly found anything and hope that you might have any idea where they might be able to order things from. But a new exhaust system is high on the wish list .. but I do not have a car lift. But it's probably not the main problem, have a friend, their family owns a scrap here where I live, They have a bit of everything. Obviously will they have a Colt 1.3, might have checked to see if there is something to find.

1.3 Colt has a much smaller exhaust. I bought custom made exhaust for my Colt.
95% of parts I get from America.
If you need something you can ask Peppi_C50 here on forum. He is from Germany and have lost of parts for GTi.

My thoughts exactly. Will you please post a bunch of pictures of the Supertop? from inside through the hatch, from up high if you can get them, from inside looking up at all the trim, panels, and dome light as well. This is my own personal holy-grail of factory options for these cars.

Thanks and welcome!
