If anyone is keen on more photos I have them throughout the build of this car :) and will update this regularly. Atm I'm in the process of rebuilding the engine so most of the internals haven't been installed yet as funds are low for block/head machining - after a long list of parts order.

I wish we had gotten the 4door hatches here. Would make a great awd car.

Yea it is. vr4 calipers sits closer to the centre of the hub as the evo 4 are further out. I had to grind maybe 1-2mm since it was touching but it has 2-3mm clearance inside of the rim.

Awd models are really rare here in Oz maybe 10 or so exist and importing is just ridiculously expensive. There have been a few for sale but all of them have the 2L conversion and the price for them is steep!

Time for update!

I've finally re built my ages quite a awhile again actually tuning was a time consumer and waiting for parts.

So now I'm running

Genuine big 16g flapper welded for external gate
Fidzana adjust. cam gears
Arp headstuds & 1.6 comestic gasket
Ferrea comp stock sized valves & BC 280cams
Forged internals - Weisco piston (8.3.1) & Manley h-beams
ACL Race tri bearings
Magnus heat barrier gasket
HKS timing belt
Clear cam cover
Balance shaft removed
Ecmlink
Lc1 innovate wideband

Re doing the timing as bad to fix the markings, I didnt have to drop the engine thank god but I had to remove both side mounts, disconnect IC piping, remove maf sensor and the usual rest. With a bit of a wiggle here and there I got the timing cover off as well the harmonic by tilting the engine.

I thought a had a vacuum leak but I think it was the timing that made tuning the idle very difficult! Idles way better than any before and steady. I'm not running rich either so the wideband states 13:1 - 15:1 on idle I think.

Just need to bleed the brakes and clutch and go for a spin. Im yet to test the coilovers and a few suspension mods added like coilovers, after-makert pan-hard rod and rear strut brace.

Im just content now that I'm getting progress and not one problem after another *knocks on wood* as you do.

Couple of photos before engine implant - half polish intake manifold as I got lazy and painted the rest black. Never again...

and how it is now + a video. I'm loving the lumpy sound though I think chuck the muffler and stick a canon instead.

Still yet to experience drive from complete make over from now to before.

Came off a stock model with the 1.5 efi engine.

From what I know it was to make the bumper look lower to match the gsr bumper. It is also short 50mm each end when mounting it - easily fixed problem
