Looks to be in good condition but that's not a 92. Still a good pick up for $500. |

Is the clutch hydraulically actuated or cable? The ticking sound is probably valve adjustment. If that engine has manually adjustable rocker arms you can pull the valve cover and adjust them back to factory specifications. If it has hydraulically adjusted lifters then you will need new lifters. The clunking can be bad tie rod ends or bad steering rack mounts. Inspection will let you know which is true in that regard. The car looks clean and for $500 you can't beat it. |

Excuse me fastvtgsx, I think i know what year my car is... This car is from Canada, maybe thats why you think it isn't 92? And thanks CSM Shawn, the clutch is hydraulically actuated, and I think the clunking is probably the steering rack mounts, as it only happens when really cold and usually steering at slow (like really slow) speeds. Thanks for replies... |

I would bleed the clutch actuation system and inspect the master and slave for leaks before going for a clutch replacement. |

It's the old body style that was replaced by the 6th gen colt's in 89, that's why I don't think it's a 92. Unless Canada decided to stick you guys with the old version for 3 extra years which is quite odd. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Colt |

Well, all I know is that I never see this car... All the ones I see are made in the 80's. This car is a 92, maybe It was the last of its kind, and got labelled as a 92. All i know is that its Aircared (emissions) for 2 years, and only 92-newer can have 2 years Aircare. And CSM Shawn, I've already bled the clutch system, and put new gear oil in it. I don't know why the gears are so choppy, I'm thinking its because the clutch is original from 92. Could also be the linkage? |

Its definitely a 92. Research has proven that they had both body styles available. Wiki is essentially useless as it can be edited by almost anyone without any knowledge or proof to back it up. Welcome to 4g61t. Enjoy your stay! -Shawn |

It could be the linkage. Colt shifter bases are known for getting very sloppy with age. |
