I'm trying to get my car daily drivable...and I just keep having issues come up. Yesterday I noticed that it was sputtering a little bit here and there, especially over 50% throttle. So I think the 20yr old fuel pump is finally on it's way out. I also noticed it's not really wanting to go into 1st gear a lot. I imagine the Galant shifter cables are starting to defeat the rigging job that I did to get them to work. And tonight, one of my stinking headlight bulbs went out. So it's back to driving the Miata who's tranny sounds like it's going to explode any second. FML.

Fixed the headlight bulb. Took 2seconds (duh).

Fixed the funny shifting, turns out the cable adjustment nuts had come loose at the shifter. Easy fix.

Swapped in a Walbro 255, and the car isn't really sputtering anymore (once it warms up). I'm still getting timing pulled under heavy throttle (especially in higher revs). At least, it FEELS like that's what's happening. So now I gotta figure out wtf is causing that. I have an FPR to install, I'll hopefully knock that out tomorrow. I just wonder if I'm still running lean, maybe due to the 2G MAF. I might crank up the fuel on the AFC to see if that helps.

Turns out my spark plugs were gapped WAY wrong. Gapped em up, and the car runs great! I think all of my near-term issues are finally fixed, so I can finally get the A/C workin, as well as all of the other things I've been meaning to do to it!
