My wife's grandmother has been really weak lately and the family finally convinced her (or made her I really don't know how serious this is but I know that when the heart is involved its never really good. She basically raised or help raise my wife when she was growing up as a child so they are very, very close. I just ask that if you would, think of us tonight and say a prayer for her. I will be sure to keep everyone updated as soon as I know something. Thanks! |

Hey bro my dad had the EXACT same problem about a year ago. The left side of his heart was pumping 20%. He had surgery and his heart is now pumping at 85% and getting stronger. They gave him a heart catheder and it didn't seem to help so they performed surgery on him and he's doing much better now. He's always had problem though. He smoked for 40 years and the doctor told him he had to quit smoking and consuming caffeine. As reluctant as he was about this he hasn't had a cigarette in a year and hasn't had a decent cup of coffee in that long as well. It's amazing how many advances there have been in modern medicine and medical practices over the past 10 years. While she has my prayers I'm sure she'll come out fine. But in case something does happen to go wrong I'm sure God will treat her well. Let Holly know that we're praying for her strength as well. God Bless, Rob |

Well my wife called after work to make sure she would be up for a visit and found out that they had put in a heart defibulator today. She had just came out of the recovery room and was still asleep but all went well as far as we know. My wife is going to call back and check on her later and I will update this again once we know more. |

Been through that with my dad getting a double by-pass last year, and it's a scary thing to be involved in as a family member. Once you have any type of heart procedure, you will always have to live with the fact that there are complications that arise in the following years. The heart is truly amazing though. It's the only muscle in the body that never takes a break....just think about that. Hope you guys well, and will pray for your situation, Chris. |

She is doing much, much better and was actually able to come home yesterday. She is weak of course but things are looking up. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and I will continue to update this. |
