Well las i found this GSR lancer in a farmers yard and got it for free.We think its the only 4g61t lancer in ireland and cant get parts here or the uk at all it has few extras too!!see pics
Basically when i got the car i hadent any keys so got a lock smith to make me one for €15, i could at least try to start it and see what happens but i wasnt hoping for much as its parked up for 8 years, put battery in and nothing on the dash so routed around and found the ecu was gone.
I went looking for parts then and america is the only place i can hget bits from so i bought a highline ECU which is better than the original and 450cc injectors to match it so there bigger injectors too!!
Went to start it and wouldnt turn over starter engaging but not spinning i tryed it off the crank and wouldent budje so i said ill pull the engine and stripped it down and found 3 valves broken and smashed the piston and the head!!!
I then went looking for a new head and pistons and found some on here which was cool so i got a fully recon head with new valve stem seals, valves re grounded head skimmed fully cleaned etc,
So i started to reassemble the head and then start on pistons etc. so heres how far i am to date!!!

I decided to go with matt black with white 15" alloys dropped to the last with a jap can angled out the back. I was doing all this while i was waiting for the parts to arrive so just started spraying and stripping!!

I'm jealous here! A GSR Lancer would be a neat car to own.

That is the cap side of the bearings, not the journal side of the bearing. 8)
