Hello, after reading on these side for nearly 6 month, now i try to introduce myself. I´m a 20 year old guy from germany, and the proud owner of a rare Lancer AWD It´s my first car, so it is something special to me. The preownerns was a old woman, and later her grandchild. When i bought it, there were only 152000km on the clock and a completly filled service check book. After the buy i start to investigate about the car and the engine the 4G37. It brings to the light, that there are only 143 of them driving in Germany And some other aspects, which tells me, that these care is something special. Over 15.000km on the road later and i was big fan, everything was perfect, execpt one thing is in need of improving => The power!!! 97PS are good for crusing, but not for enough for german highways (unlimited you rember ) and the the twisting countryside highway. The improvement: TURBOCHARING!!! About my turbo projekt i will wirte later. Here some pictures from the current status of the car - nearly stock At j2dapo, you had infected me with your fog light grill PS: Sry, but i hadn`t be bothered to wash the car before i took the photos. |

you can grab a turbo from the previous generation mirage turbo's that had the g32b(if they were in germany), and it should be almost a direct swap. |

Cool car. Welcome to the Forums. Are those stock springs on it because it seems to have a very large wheel gap. |

He already has those g32b parts (and I have the same fog light grill ). I can't wait to see what the 1.8L with a turbo will do. Post more pics up if you can, we want to see the rear sub frame. Tim do you have any wiring schematics for the fog lights? |

Yes there are stock C77 springs in it. They have a much higher spring rate than the springs in the other Lancer Versions (17,8-19,0 N/mm to 24N/mm in the C77). This difference in the rate is the reason for the large wheel gap. As j2dapo wrote i have nearly all necessary parts right here (2 meters away) The packet from canada My "turbo-kit" Oil-, Waterlines, Gaskets, the little TC04 Turbo, Bolts etc. Only the intercooler, the BOV (1G) and the Air-intake things (hose, piping etc.) are not on the picture... They will follow... Side note: These parts alltogether from canada, cause the G32b aka 4G32 was as far as i know only available in germany in a colt "C10" and they are very hard to find. So import the parts was easier About the wiring, i have a the mechanic manual on my PC, i will search about wiring. (The fog lights on my car are not connected to the foglight switch. The are switched with the country beam.) |

Post subject: | How to add a "t" on the 4G37... |
Since yesterday my car gets his improvment... It`s like a dream... Every part from the 4G32t fits perfectly also the downpipe!!!! Many parts are plug and play and the existing problems are snippy There are only a few problems bye this project: The $%&&&/-waterline behind the manifold clash with the compressorhousing so i had to cut it off and put in a siliconhose. Finding a way for the airhose to turbo is nearly hard as hell, `cause its very tight there. The biggest problem, at the moment is the oil pan its somewhere over the tranny, my idea was to remove the pan, mount a flange on and fix it. I have no welding equipment so i cannot weld the flange on here in the garage. I will look for a makeshift. This is how i work in the garage of my parents... Their car have to wait outdoor look at my beautiful makeshift for the air-filter-housing ^^ The result of 2 days of work |

Nice work! I like how u relocated the air can. I bet that a g32b water pipe and oil pan would have helped you, but we know what a hassle shipping to/from Canada is... Keep up the good work and take more pictures. |

Car is still running.... but not more It lose water like a old man, at the waterpipe when water is hot and there is some pressure in the system . And there are some droplets of oil at the floor. Maybe from the oil return. Tomorrow i will fix that Apart from these little problems... I`VE GOT A TURBOCAR!!! With that incredible turbosound. More pictures: This is how i looks now.... And i stupid idiot polished the manifold -.- If anybody told me how fast it will be look like this - i hadn´t do that. This was the polished manifold And again. My air-filter old/new Aaaah, i forgot the original manifold: Nice, isn`t it? |
