I left a note on this thing at Wal-Mart about a month ago and the lady called me back a few days later. She was about 65 years old and it was left to her by her mother which bought it new. Right now its got 97k on it. Its a 4 speed manual base model, no options but luckily it does have AC. It was purchased new in New Mexico and then brought to NC later so there is no rust anywhere.

Its in great shape, only one small crack in the dash which can only be seen through the windshield, the rest of the interior is pretty much mint. Even the vinyl seats are nice other than a few small tears.

I heard a clicking sound coming from the dash so I need to replace the caps. Opened it up and its actually got an eprom ECU. I'm just going to toss on some 91 GVR4 wagon wheels and make it my new junkyard hauler for now until I can finish up my 4g. I haven't cleaned it up or anything but here are a few pics.

Numers from the Eprom 1.5L ECU please! I'll add them to the ECU reference post.

Got it for $750 which wasn't bad in my opinion since its in decent shape.

Nice score, Chris! I would love to have another cheap backup, too. Let's see how things to go next year. Hoping to have 4 CSMs :D

Well that is the first 160390 that is chipped, but we knew they were out there. Mostly thought they were from overseas as they got better gas and more timing, with increased compression; ~10:1. I'll update the listing now. Maybe it's time to drop a line to keydiver or someone overseas who does chips and see what you can get for a 4g15 Eprom unit? :P
Or just enjoy the fuel economy again and call it a day! Oh, if you don't get an Elantra or turbo sway bar under that car, I'll pinch you. :rocklicker:

Well now I feel special :P . Didn't know an eprom for the 1.5 was rare over here, glad I saved it before the leaking cap ruined it.

Speaking of the swaybar upgrade I was thinking earlier about the 8v 4G64 that was in my summit wagon. The wiring sure looked close to the 4G15's wiring. Wonder if that thing would be a plug in deal?

Something tells me this car won't be stock for long.

I'll do some looking around and see what I come up with. The stock csm tranny/clutch will probably hold up fine to a 125 or so hp n/a engine.
