Many of you know I picked up a new car a couple weeks back...

1989 plymouth colt... no rust, decent condition needs lots of work...

Here is when I purchased the car. I drove all the way to colorado to pick it up.

No interior when the car was purchased...

Miles UNKNOWN... car fax reported in 1999 that there were 148,000 on the car then... been a couple years since hahaha...

The plans for the car... To haul ass!!! with a nice interior.

Ah, the memories. That car looks just like mine when I got it. It was an 89 Colt E too.

Alright here's an update of this weekend... worked friday from 10PM to 3AM... Saturday from 12pm to about 11pm and sunday 10am to 11pm.

The work we accomplished...

Replaced Steering colum with new colum.

Replaced all the locks in the car because they were froze up and not working well.

The hatch latch was broken so the hole assembly was replaced.

The drivers side axle seal broke and leaked 2 quarts of oil on the way to the shop so that was replaced

the car wasnt heating up very well so I replaced the thermostat with the already brand new turbo radiator.

As you can see from the previous pictures there was no interior in the car.

I pulled the interior out of my donor car that I have which was extremely dirty and made my girlfriend clean it. shes good for something after all.

pictures of said girlfriend

Interior before.

Old steering column just dropped.

How i have been driving the car.

And another

new trunk assembly...

Image
The previous door was broken into ( look back to the older pictures) and was egg'd out really bad, the person who broke into the car demolished it. The door was flattened out and a new lock was installed... not pefect yet, but will be fixed when bodywork and paint is done.

Just like my first two cars with the maroon interior! Good job on the effort as it is paying off. Nothing like building your own car. 8)
