OMG, is the ECU case grounded? :o Take a 5 min break and pull that old ECU, and get the 4g37 unit in place. You don't want to fry that used ECU due to the case not being grounded; you will see the ground tether when you pull out the old case/ECU. Don't worry, you wouldn't have known if we hadn't told you about this, so this is learning step #1, but hopefully before any consequences come about.

not pictured here are the rear calipers and caliper brackets, B&G lowering springs, 4 x Falken Azenis RT-615s, and my new rims(still waiting to see if i get those Sprint Hart CP-Fs, otherwise they'll be 16x7 Konig Feathers).

looks like i've got some work ahead of me.

finally got my car back on the road. replaced the driver's side axle and upper strut mount(tore it in 2 taking everything apart, i think it was original equipment, never been changed).

now i just have to get around to putting all the other fiddly bits on the car.

Brakes are going to get done this weekend, along with the elantra front sway bar. also going to be removing the A/C(doesn't work anyway), saves me some weight, and then my damn front strut bar will fit.

also bidding on some auctions for the Lancer rear trunk garnish :D as well as red/white reflectors for the trunk. have to wait a few days to see if i get those though.

still have to get the rest of the bits together to swap the 4G61NA into it, but that'll come later, probably sometime late summer.

pictures later when i start tearing everything apart.

the interior is in decent shape(albeit a little dirty), with just one crack on the dash right by the clock.

I didn't get the auctions for the Lancer rear bar and reflectors, so i figure if i can get the red/white tails, along with the red/white reflectors, then i'll just paint the spare set i have black and stick those on the trunk instead.

i'd love to buy it, but it's 1400km away from me, and i wouldn't have the cash for it, not for another week or so.

doesn't mean i'm not still considering it....
just means i'm thinking about it a little more than if it was just sitting across the river in Port Huron.

I like that head unit man. It looks good in there. I'd really like to get a 5 speed for my car because I'm swapping in a 4G67t soon and I plan on rocking the 4 speed for the time being. I need to save up some money and get cracking on this like right now...lol Good looking car though. The body work is a pain but it's not all that hard to do. Just stick to it.

got a few things done on the car in the last little while.

put the elantra discs and Talon calipers on, they fill the 15" rims out quite nicely now :p

put the tach'd cluster in as well, though i have to take it back out since half the bulbs are burnt out.

and i finally picked up a clean gas tank for the car as well(it's been urinating fuel everywhere for about 8 months).

cleaned all the surface rust off the new tank, put 2 coats rust inhibiting primer, 2 coats Tremclad black, 2 coats of rubberized panel guard, and 2 more coats tremclad on that :p no more rust for me.

got it put on this afternoon, quite happy to finally be able to fill the tank up again.

i'll post pics of everything tomorrow when i get a chance.
