Damn nice car, I've always wanted a Right hand drive car. I like the look and it would confuse the hell out of my friends the first time i'd pull up :P . I think it would be worth the money to import one, Na it would probaly cost more than the car new to ship it here.

I wanna import one as well. I would drop the 4g63 in it right away.. it would probably register pretty easy. U.S motor and ecu and all the little smog bs.. so lets get a group buy going on these. i know you can rent a big cargo crate for. i'm not sure but if we all went in on it. we could probably fit five or more cars in there. whos down?

LOL, you're dreaming. You live in California. It would NOT be an easy thing to do and for the cost of doing it you could buy a base-model CSM, swap a 4G63 into it, AND make it AWD, and have money left over to buy yourself a 3 Musketeers bar.

Haha, as well as what the CaptainTonus mentioned above, you have to remember that these cars aren't exactly common over here either. Actually, the amount of C83A's i've seen with my own eyes, I could count on one hand. You'd probably have to live here for a few years if you wanted to find 5 of them

Mmm haven't updated this in ages...

I've probably posted half this crap in the pics/vids section but here it is again..

Swapped the good interior in, back in March

Image

Image

And attempted to fit some crap into the tiny 4WD boot

Image

Then lowered it on some crap springs, brand new crap shocks, and 17"s
Rear still sat high as a kite even though the springs weren't captive...

Image

Image

Moved the battery to the boot..

Image

Image

Meanwhile, something evil was in the works

Image

Got some factory rice
Part number is MB726336 if anyone wants to know

Image

Washed the car

Image

Image

JDM y0

Image

More JDM y000

Image

And a genuine Bride bolt in drivers side rail from Japan

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Sold the 17"s, and swapped a tidier bumper and filler panel on from my other car

Image

Replaced the 17"s with genuine TE37's 8)

Image

Image

Image

Bought new front discs and pads

Image

Image

Image

And now for the fun part

Thanks to Patrick from 4G61NZ we had the use of his boss's workshop over a weekend, so we got to work on the engine swap

The n/a beast:

Image

N/A:

Image

61T with TD04L still on, and flywheel, 3" front pipe, evo AFM etc..

Image

My grotty 3.545 diff setup that looks like its just been pulled from the bottom of the ocean..

Image

Parts pile

Image

PSIBRG

Image

Bye bye n/a!

Thanks. After owning 4 n/a Mirages over nearly 6 years, its good to finally see a turbo in my engine bay

Apparently the rear diff arm/bush should be here in about 2 weeks, so i've got until then to sort the other minor stuff I have left to do. Argh, can't wait to drive it!!
