I jus want to say how much I love your guys's cars :) I personally drive a Suzuki Swift GTi and was looking for something new. I'm thinking about going turbo etc, when I stumbled upon a colt on ebay that is on this site. Jus wanted to say I love what you guys do with such a rare car :) I wish my car was turbo'd factory to make mods much easier but we can't all have that luxury.

I'm personally at 101whp at 1700lbs, nothing like you guys but still fun nonetheless. Anyways, I'll be lurkin around, maybe looking for a good buy to start working on.

Have fun guys :D

and yes, that is a Corolla GT-S next to me, it's my friend's car.

I really hate how my fenders don't match my car's faded paint, but I have resisted the urge of rice to just flat black the car. Also need to buy new bumper mounts to hold up the ends of the bumper. I love my car as much as you guys do. I drove 13 hours to Connecticut to pick up my car with my girlfriend, then we did the whole trip back in 2 days.

Welcome to the forum man. Those cars are a lot of fun, very peppy, and really good for autocrossing I imagine. That's a pretty clean one too!

They really aren't competitive in auto-x. At least at the national level. Only a couple guys had any success. I believe it was in FSP.

Cool ass car nonetheless! I have always wanted one.

Thanks for compliments :) I'm still jealous of your turbos... If I decide to go turbo I'll have to spend about 2500 to 3000. :/ I was trying to avoid it but since my 800$ head got botched I'm nervous to go N/A again. I wanted a 150whp N/A swift.

Here are pics of the head I ordered... It was completely ported, polished, oversized valves, titanium sleeves(?), race cams, etc etc. I'd post more specific numbers if I wasn't so lazy to look at my old info.

this little piece of shaving from somewhere in the head that I assume didn't get blown out completely locked my engine up. I thought my timing was off so drastically that I actually siezed the engine from contact with the head :O When I started to disassemble it I found this little bugger in one of the cam journal housings.

This was about a year ago, I still have yet to send the head back to the guy who did the work. Was actually going to do that tomorrow hopefully. He tried blaming it on me (overheating), but I took it to 2 different shops in town, and showed a few friends and all agree there was no oil deprivation.

Since then I really haven't done anything to my car. That head shoulda gave me 30 more hp atw, and I could have easily found a way to get the extra 20 I wanted.

1.3L BLOCK :D

Hell, you COULD swap a 4G63 FWD engine/tranny/harness, and ECU into it

But thats just me talking.......

Not enough room :) Also with how the engines are setup (there was talk about it at the forums I reside at actually), they are just to big. My best bet is to jus pop a turbo on it. It'd be a complete breeze compared to putting one of those things in.

With that open-deck block design i'd be nervous to just pop a turbo on there, unless you were planning to run very little boost.

Actually the engine takes to turbo's quite well, and there is PLENTY of room to put the turbo in without modification.

As for my location, I'm in Indianapolis. I drove to CT to pick the car up about 2 years ago.
