To use a 4g63T out of a 1g dsm, it should just about drop in. You will need to either slightly modify, and by slightly I mean move it over just a little bit, the mount on the timing belt side, or just get a different mount. From what I understand, it is a pretty straight forward swap. Just the harness is the biggest mess. The trans will mount up to the engine no problem at all.
