Hi, my name is Mike. :) A current DSM owner and most likely future 92' Dodge Colt owner. I say "maybe" because the guy who's supposed to sell me his is still "thinking about it." :finga:

Anyway, I am no stranger to Mitsubishi motors and I am a current Moderator at DSMTalk ( www.dsmtalk.com ) and The Source ( www.dsmsource.com .) If I do pick the car up, I will be on here quite a bit familiarizing myself with it and hopefully, turning it into something fun.

I own two Eagle Talons; One's a 91 AWD which is fairly modded and the other is a 92' FWD TSi-auto that's pretty much stock. Both run, may I add.

Immediate future plans are to get the AWD Talon into the 10.9-11.0 range while still maintaining proper street manners. If I do pick up the Colt, I will probably swap the motor from my 92 into it...who knows? Turn it into an auto-X monster. Looking foward to learning more and I will put up pictures when I actually pick up the car - if I do get it. I hope I do. Cheers.

Picture of my 1991 Talon below.

Ok...so it's been a few months and the guy I was buying the car from gave me a run around but I finally bought it today and towed it to my place. :finga: It's an 89 Plymouth Colt. I will snag pics soon. 8)

What? The Colt? The Colt is NA. 4G15. Bone stock 89 Plymouth Colt HB and not a 92 as I stated in my first post. The ex-owner told me it had "elecrical issues" and wouldn't start at times. Tinkered with it a few minutes and found out that the starter kill switch was not where it should be so it wouldn't let the car start. Disconnected it and fired right up...lol. Now I need to fix the flat tire in the rear and a "leaky" brake cylinder drum in the rear. It's been awhile since I have had a car with drum brakes. :axe:

Thanks mang...

The Talon ran a best of 11.43 in 90* weather back in August and has trapped a best of 126.40mph. I have had tranny troubles all year so I never did get to lay down decent passes on full tilt. May be quicker come spring.

Ran those times on the stock tranny, weak-ass 3-bolt rear end (which I later broke :finga: ) and on the stock 1g clutch disc.

I'm really thinking of keeping the Colt stock. I want to enjoy the gas mileage but again, I have never kept any car I have owned stock for long.

Nice to see you on here Mike. I just picked a Colt gt up as well. Time to get the feeling of NOT being able to get traction. Well, the gsx loses traction but only in cold weather. I thought for some reason you had a Shep tranny. This may be a far stretch but you're not the guy in the Shep video in the beggining talking about needing a shep trans, are you?

Nope...that wasn't me.
I took a couple pix today after cleaning it up a bit. It had been sitting for almost 2 years so it was kinda filthy. It has a leaky brake drum in the back. I will dig into that tomorrow.
