Hi! I'm Daniel and this is my new Colt:

I got it in November, then wrecked and with a broken (literally) tranny.

I have now swapped trannies, put a 2,0 instead (the car is 1,8), I would have used the whole 2,0 engine but it was ruined. Anywho, after a lot of hard and boring body work, a few short and fun hours working with the engine and tranny, spending lots on nothing important just to make it look good and getting it thru' inspection to get the plates, here it is now:

It could have been done better, but simply cannot afford that in any way. I wanna take a whole front clip of an unwrecked Colt and replace it on this one, but I can't afford it. The biggest problems are that the grille sticks out and doesn't allign to the lights perfectly, and the lights still cave in a bit. Also the list under the lights looks like it's too short, but it's not.

If I swap engines, i would swap from a Eclipse GST. I'm not gonna make it a 4wd, even though it would be nice, i'm just not gonna. And if I swap, I WILL replace the front clip and make do everything I can and pay loads of money to make it look brand spankin' new! But those are jut dreams, I have realised that this is only a Colt, I'm just gonna drive the engine out and the throw it or something.

I do have some plans for the future and those are:
Clear corner ligths from the latest Euro C62 Lancers.
Paint the grille in the same color as the car.
Make those "black" parts of the front bumper black again!
Lower it, at least the rear.
Get harder dampers! These suck. Front and Rear.
Tinted rear windows (law here forbid front windows to be tinded)
Create some custom dials like I did with the white Colt, only make these better!
Some maintenance that needs to be done, like rebuilding the tranny, fixing the brakes and other stuff.

Hope you like it!

PS. I haven't slept in ages and therefor how I write is all fruit and banana up. Also the keyboard I'm using is failing so some letters tend to not show up, sorry for that.

I don't know the name of the wheels, and I haven't found anything about that wheelmaker (IKON) on the net, but I know that Lenso made ones ecactly like those exept with a different center and not gunmetal with polished lip! They are called Lenso Passion

Mine are 17x7.0" I think, on 205/40R17 tires.

And that white arm: The only thing left from my old Colt that didn't go on the Lancer!

Looks pretty nice. I'd be more impressed if bumper openings actually duct air to the brakes.

Whah? :-?

If you're talking about the front bumper then you might wanna know that this is stock on that car.... besides, there's no need to cool brakes on a car that barely reaches 200km/h!

It would still be cool if they did duct air to the brakes. :D

Hey man....

Terrific job on bringing her back from the dead.

The way his front looks is actually OEM. The one the I imported from Japan had those :holes" which I removed before selling the original bumper to Ton Shafer.

Again, she looks great! Nice choice of wheels too!

I'm not saying that it looks bad or anything, just that it *looks* like it ducts air to the brakes so it would be cool if it actually did duct air to the brakes. :P
