Heya fellas,

I'm lookin into grabbing a 4wd 88 cyborg from Japan in the near future, and doing the whole 4G63 swap.

Downunder, you wouldn't be able to tell me if a VR4 box bolts into a cyborg, could ya? All the talk in the main forums here seems to be about US spec cars.

Hi guys,

I’m new to the web site. Looking for some help.

I have a 91 CB GSR – 3 door 16v DOHC. No mods done on it yet but looking to drop a 4G63t in Nov this year. Just wanted to know will this fit and what do i need to do for this conversion? Looking to buy a half cut from a Jap importer

Another thing that I have read about is the traction problems after the conversion and what can I do to fix or reduce this? Found RPW.com has a engine mount upgrades, will this help reduce the traction problem and hopping problem? Has anyone done this?

howdy everyone..i have a CA lancer, SE..unfortunately ive had to do some major upgrades to it to even get the thing running, let alone an engine conversion, planning on a 4g63 or possibly a mivec conversion for something different

its got abit of hyundai, nissan, wrx, commodore so on so forth, its becoming a nightmare and i wish i just bought a gsr in the first place now hehe.

Thanks for the PM DownUnder,

I just found out that I can’t do the 4G63T conversion as my car is my daily driving car. Just wanted to know if anyone has done the 4G61T conversion and got the car certified by an engineer? VICROADS say the 4G61T is 10% more powerful then the 4G61 so you need to get it certified.

Another thing that I have been told is that the Jap engines don’t meet the Australian emission laws, e.g. ADR 33/00, is this true?

I know a guy in vic who has had his 4g61t engineered...

gsr is 90kw stock - cyborg is 108kw stock

I though it was 20% or 25% more power before you need it engineered?

Ohh I have a 4g61t cb gsr and im in melbourne
