Tim, you gonna be there? I think ya gotta break- in that virgin of yours
I should be there with the evo3 installed on the '61t, plus at least two friends with talon tsi's. One has fully built motor with new SBR gt13 and all mods, other has a lot of mods and 3052. Should be fun.

On the way to fill up the car with gas, I passed a fully track laden Talon AWD with some serious street stickies wrapped around some 6 spoke Sun wheels. I know today is gonna be sweet. Taking the digital camera so hope to have some pics, if not duplication of what the other guys link to, then at least we have multiple angles! 8)

Okay, here the dilly my fine feathered friends:
http://www.ce.rit.edu/~mezz/gallery/Lus ... ne-13-2005
I think you guys are going to need an old dirty wool sock after looking at those and hearing this:
Chris Tapp (of Tapp Auto fame here in Ottawa/Gatineau) has just set the new track record at Luskville for a sport compact car. His ride: 1995 style AWD Talon with 700 -/+ HP with Nitrous to boot or rather in the boot.
His time in the 1/4 mile: 8.95 seconds. fruit and banana was that car fast for an import, hell even the sport bike that was there only just broke the 10's with a 9.9ish.
I loved my very first day at the drag track. GF liked it too but we look like lobsters. Temperature must have been over 40 with humidex. The guys in the tower figured out loud, that Chris Tapp must have had closer to a 8.50 corrected due the lack of air at the time of the runs.

Only downside to the whole event was one of it's sponsors (1lowcolt) Dan, had a mechanical malfunction; of all the stupid things to happen (from what I heard) - his throttle plate shaft bent in the throttle body!!!! That took Dan out of the running, you can see all the pics I took of him staging to the line and on the grounds after his car called it a day. Man is that thing picked clean and just plain sick. He put in alot of work in the time I saw the car at -15 Celcius, to the time we're running at 40 degress or so.

Well now that the site is back up, you guys can read this. :butthead:
