I have the build bug once again and my gvr4 can't quiet satisfy my urge to not build another CSM. I am looking for a rust free and major body work free hatchback. I will consider a four door however the car is going to be a commuter for the most part so the smaller the better. Also manual or automatic does not matter either since I have everything here to build a turbo manual or auto car.

That really depends on whether it can be shipped cost effectively honestly.

I know of a few hatches here in cali minimal rust.
Its possible to get decent examples out here.
I could point you there way
However the roof will sadly almost always have pin holes.80 percent chance
Easy to find clean title hatchs with no wrecks or major rust
Especially if you dont care if its a base model since you would swap it anyway.(have motor/Drivetrain)

Your easily going to look at over $1k just for shipping it. With that sort of increase in price, you can probably wait and find a nicer one on your side of the US.

Yeah I figure it wouldn't be worth it unless it was a Mint GT or something of that nature. I may of found something, it isn't a CSM but something I've had my eye out for as well. I just sold my Mighty Max today and going to go look at a 92 AWD Plymouth Colt Vista tomorrow.

I helped someone find one in nc From here in cali.
If you have all the parts there is nothing wrong or inferior with a base.as no one normally use the stock gt setup anyway.

This would be my fourth CSM, Iv'e owned a original GT had a base 89 and also a 92 sedan. Needless to say I now these little beast like the back of my hand.

Still looking, the Van was a northern car with too much rust.

Still looking around for a clean one
On the east coast aint easy

A guy sent me some underbody shots of a 3000GT a few weeks ago and the suspension was covered with rust. He said it would clean right up .

After owning a GVR4 from Ohio I absolutely refuse to own another car from up north so I don't blame you. I'd hold off for a nice one too.
