Bought this Mirage recently for a daily but after jacking her up for inspection I noticed a couple cracks on the frame rail where the front right lower control arm attaches to. I don't have any time for the car and was hoping I could just drive it as is but it may not be the safest thing to do (although the previous owner and myself have been driving it) so I'm just trying to make my money back on this. I have no idea how this issue was caused as there is no surrounding damage, there was also a very shitty weld done that obviously didn't hold much. A good welder could probably recover this but I have no idea really. I drove the car thinking it was just alignment, so yes it is very drivable and I can meet up anywhere reasonably close to Tacoma WA. 4g61t 150k original miles fresh oil change dsm side mount mbc (11psi) boost gauge Momo wheels brand new tires clean interior, nothing missing, even has the rare cargo cover in perfect condition. I don't even think the dash is cracked either. The body is fairly clean nothing missing with a couple dents on the driver side fender/door. Seats are in good shape, no rips. Clean title in hand. Tabs good til April, ready to drive away!! I'll get some pics when I can or you can txt/call me at 253-2seventhree-161seven for more info or pics by phone. Will not part, selling hole and as is. So, I took the car over to a good friend of mine who welds and builds BMWs, mostly e30s. He said that it would be no problem at all to do and it will be an easy fix. When ever we both have free time I'm going to bring it over to his place and have him work his magic, if everything aligns properly and passes our load tests I'll probably be keeping it. Even in it's condition now it's a steal, so let me know asap if you would like to come take a look, again my pc is still down so I can send pics by phone only at this time. Thanks. |
