What’s the chances you know of a 4G64 shortblock around? I had a rod finally let go so I’m in need of another block. I know 89-91 Sonata works, not sure what other years/models will work.

Have to be a 6 bolt? If so the 92 expo and late 80's galants. Both pretty rare. 7 bolts are everywhere though, 94-98 Galant, 2g eclipse spyder, expo wagon.

Hi,
It might be a stretch. But I'm looking for instrument cluster bezel for 89 mirage.
I got one that has a very good body but some plastic parts are very very brittle.

Thank you

That is almost always the first thing to go on these cars, along with the dash in the hotter climates. I've seen a few people post where they bought a new one, no idea if they're still available though.

Wow, so many memories in this thread. I'm lucky to hit the yard once a month these days and sadly not a 3g csm in sight most of the time. Even 4th gens are getting rare. Hope the three people that read this are doing well lol.

I go maybe once a month these days, if I'm lucky. Problem is I just don't see these cars there anymore.

89mirageman, You're lucky. Some of our best yards in the Lower Mainland (B.C.) have disappeared due to changes in infrastructure or land being sold such as our local Pick-a-part. The land it was on apparently sold for $17 million so they took the money and ran. Mitsu's are even harder to find out here.

There is a mirage i want down in Seattle area but we can't cross the border so we are definitely limited at the moment.

Mike Meron, I know someone who may have seatbelts for you. I'll let you know if i find anything.

Cheers

Hello- I don't know if you are still active, but if so, could you keep an eye out for turbo intake tube for the '89 Gt Turbo? Unidentified varmints ate mine long before I bought it. The tube, as you no doubt know, is actually two rubber sections and is more complex than the word "tube" would suggest. Strictly speaking, my upper section is still usable, if ugly, but the lower section is a total loss. Thank you.

Radioflyer55, there are companies on Ebay from China that can custom fab any part you send them. Silicone intake would be your final product.

If you don't come across a viable alternative there, consider custom making your own tubing with either silicone sections/bends and some aluminum pipe that has been edge rolled for retention of attached parts.

Tis a rare part indeed.

Tim
