Sad day to have to put this up for sale. As much as I'd love to keep this around, I don't have the time or energy at the moment to do anything meaningful with it and I don't want it sitting around. I recently took a job in Sarasota, FL so I'd like to sell this prior to my departure in January 2018 so that my dad doesn't have to worry about the hand-over.

This Colt is certainly one of the cleanest bodies around. I purchased it from Chris (89mirageman) back in December 2015. My father went through some tough times and I got this for him as a solid daily driver. He doesn't commute far so it only has 75,700 miles, which will go up only slightly. I'll go by his place sometime soon to go over the car and get updated pics. This Colt has a rebuilt 4G64 block with 4G63T head. Super clean engine bay and exterior. Interior is the somewhat less desirable 80s maroon and some of the panels are worn. The manual trans Chris pulled fromm a junk yard car with 150k miles. It shifts fine but is not perfect. It is pretty much in the exact same shape as it was when I bought it from Chris. Last time I rode in the car it did sound like front wheel bearings are starting to make noise and will need replacement at some point in the future. It also currently has an idle surge until warmed up and then it idles fine.

I'm looking at $3300 firm due to the condition, low mileage, rebuilt engine, new suspension components, new exhaust, and history of the car (i.e. Chris built it and can vouch for everything about it). This would be the ultimate candidate for an AWD swap. It has a ton of potential. You could work with the current NA engine setup or pull it, sell it to recoup some costs, and swap in a 4G63T. It also had a brand new custom exhaust that Chris built for the car as well. It has no problems driving and would easily make a cross-country trip if necessary. It comes complete with spare tire and tools. Always passed annual VA safety inspection and emissions testing. You'd be hard-pressed to find a cleaner body with such low mileage.

PM me if you are seriously interested and I'll get you pics.

Ah, the memories  . Lots of time went into that car for sure. She's not perfect but it's a damn nice car. If I had the spare cash and didn't have 999 other projects sitting around here I'd be happy to get it back. A steal for the money!

Holy cow, seeing the pictures kind of makes me wish I would have picked this up instead of the 1g DSM.

It's a clean car, that's for sure. Only had around 50k on it when I bought it with a broke rod. Had an oil leak and they let it run low.

Thanks for the trade offers, but not looking for any trades at this time. I don't want to think about another project car until I'm settled in my new home. Not that this Colt is a project by any means. Turn key, ready to drive across country if you wanted to.

Car is still available. I have a few interested people as of today. Sorry for the delay in replying to PMs. They have all been replied to as of this writing. I've been so damn busy over the past week closing out my current job and prepping for the move. I'll be more diligent about checking my PMs here daily. Thanks and happy holidays! :xmas:

Do you still have this? I may be selling my DSM this upcoming weekend. I'd really like to get this from you.
