Just picked this up Friday.
The guy I bought it from said the trans was "stuck" in third gear, so he parked it for four years.
I got it cheap, towed it home and found that the fuel pump was dead. I changed that but it still would not run. Checked the ecu and found the problem.
I am getting an ecu from a member here. I just want to get it to run and make sure the trans problem is the tcu and not mechanically damaged before i start my swap.

I already have everything I need to do the 4G63 swap, enough to make around 350 whp.

92's have the 6 bolt 4G64, why not build it up? I hope its the TCU too but these things are bad about having crappy autos. Nice score though!

Or do like Micah, toss in a dsm trans and swap out the gears in the rear end for a manual swap. Looking forward to the pics of the hitch, if you want to email them that is fine too. 89mirageman@live.com

decided i am going to go ahead and start the swap. i tried a couple of ecus to no avail. i just wanted to try the trans out with a new tcu before starting the swap. oh well. just going to do it. i have a 4G63 ready to drop in. i have a few goodies to put in as well.
a gm maf w/translator, 780 cc injectors, fp big t28, fmic, greddy type s bov, crower 272s, eprom ecu( going with link),3" turbo back apex n1 dunk exhaust for a 2g( going to use as much of it as i can). i will post pics as i get going. thanks for the comments, i was not expecting this thing to be this clean either! i cant wait to get it done.
I think it is going to be a blast to tow the colt to the track with the van, run them both and tow it home!!!
